Happy Birthday, Bop!

I'm probably way behind the curve, but I've discovered Wolf Camera's wonderful 1 hour photo cards! They are so adorable and way more cost effective! AND who doesn't love a personalized card, especially with the cutest twin boys ever!?

Here are pictures I took yesterday for Bop's Birthday Card!

Sophie's Travel

Sophie is one of our sweet little teething toys.  She is a blessing to our family!
Over Christmas she was left to Grandma Jenny and Grandpa James' house... this is the story of her return as documented by Papa.

Sophie stopped for breakfast on her way home because her travels had made her hungry.
She was also tired and weary from her long journey so she ordered an orange juice and a little cup of coffee.
Maybe a little too much coffee...
She called via video chat to tell Parker that she would be home right after her nap. And Parker was soooo happy!

Finally, Parker and Sophie were reunited and they lived happily ever after!

P trying a Strawberry for the first time at the Chocolate Covered Strawberry

Sleep: 9:30pm to 8:30am

Motor Skills: Beginning to sit alone, rolls from front-to-back and back-to-front, passes objects from one hand to another

Sweet things: Aware and love the doggies to play around them when they are in the swing or exersaucers. Coo and babble to us and to each other. Take each others toys, we will continue to work on sharing...
Smile frequently, laughs out loud,  loves to listen to dad play guitar and sing to them, calm when I sing "you are my sunshine" (my "singing" is scary.. but they seem to like it....or they quiet so I'll stop singing!)
(*Side note.. they love that song so much that it has now become wall art in our play room)

Not so fun thing... Teething.... lots of drool and hands in the mouth and seeming frustrated with painful gums. No teeth have erupted as of today, but shouldn't be too long! Thank goodness for Sophie!! She is a lifesaver!

Christmas 2011

Our First Christmas as a Family of Four

Our precious little guys (Photo by Daddy)

Jay's parents, MawMaw and PawPaw, came to town a couple of days before Christmas and stayed until Christmas Eve, to see the boys (and us).
Opening presents from MawMaw and PawPaw

My parents and sisters came in town the week before Christmas and were here until after New Years. I think that we did something with family everyday! It's exhausting with two little ones, but well worth it!

On Christmas Eve morning, we go to my parents for the tradition of Pancake Breakfast. Then to church that night for Candle Light Service and to listen to Bop sing. On Christmas morning we open presents at my parents, eat breakfast and hang out and play with our "toys"...

1And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.
2(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
3And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
4And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)
5To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2: 1-11
